About the instructor

Kara Kennedy, PhD, is an independent scholar, author, and educator in the areas of digital and AI literacy, technology, and science fiction. She has over a decade of experience in teaching and training and enjoys making complex concepts understandable for everyone. As founder of the AI Literacy Institute, she works toward the goal of AI literacy for all through accessible resources, research, training, and consulting. She has published and presented on digital and AI literacy in the U.S., Australia, and New Zealand. She also manages an AI literacy program for a grant-funded project in New Zealand and sees a continuing need for digital and AI skill-building to close the digital and AI divide.
